Located on top of the Genting Hotel, Resorts World, Birmingham, this roof top bar and restaurant offers fine drink and food, with spectacular views.
Working as part of a closely knit team, Design at Source helped to transform this venue. Using our extensive knowledge of the Resorts World development, the project was split into two phases.
The first phase stripped the existing interior to create a clean shell, carefully ensuring the existing acoustic structure remained in place.
The second phase created the new interior, with new kitchen, bar servery, dining and drinking areas and new toilets.
The bar and dining area were designed to work throughout the day, offering customers everything, from breakfast to afternoon teas, and from British dining classics, to sumptuous cocktails.
The main dining area was divided, with an acoustic glazed screen, to create a space that could be used for private functions. This space could be divided again, to allow the space to be used for Business meetings. All surrounded by floor to ceiling, curtain glazing, offering great views of the surrounding area.
Walking down a mirrored walkway, the customer came to the Sky Bar’s surprising addition. A bespoke, roof-top garden was created, by converting an existing covered external area, into a Garden Bar. Covered pods were located around the perimeter, nestled amongst faux-living walls, helping to create this Secret Garden.
